The Omnibyte OB68K1A is a single board computer based on the Motorola 68000 CPU and Multibus (IEEE 796, Intel). This one has the OB68K/INT(S) expansion board for extra serial ports and a SASI (SCSI predecessor) interface.
This machine was given to me around 1990 as a development system for a project to build a proof-of-concept cluster computer based on Minix, using SCSI as high-speed interconnect. Since Minix was a message passing microkernel system, it had a good bit of the basic infrastructure needed for this sort of thing. But the project fared even worse than the Hurd, and never really got anywhere.
